FCP Record Timer
FCP Record Timer is a veeeeerrrrryyyy basic ASS solution that uses Apple UI scripting for scheduled recordings with Final Cut Pro. You can let it run for ever and it will start the recording every day at the scheduled time.(I haven't tested that, but it should work - maybe You want to test it and drop me a note about the result)
Since Final Cut Pro does not allow really intense UI scripting, there are some requirements for the setup.
The recommended one is:
create a project with your settings for capturing, make shure the 'Limit Capture now' is either unchecked or the entry for the length machtes the recording length. Save the project and make sure, that the 'Log and Capture' window is not open. Do not quit FCP. In case you are still working on the machine make shure, you are not working at that time the scheduled recording is starting, it might cause some strange behavior , that will make the schedule unsuccessfull. Leave the 'Date/Time as file name' checked.

Second setup:
Same procedure as in first version, but you can quit FCP, it will launch at the scheduled time. The disadvantage of this procedure is that it might launch a different or no project at the scheduled time, if you used FCP in the time between the start of the FCP Record Timer and the start of the recording.
Let me know how it works for you.
